In Memoriam: Brant Ellwood Jones

The Lindsay Agricultural Society joins our community in mourning the loss of Brant Ellwood Jones, a lifelong farmer and a dedicated friend to the agricultural sector in Kawartha Lakes.

A farmer through and through, Brant found his greatest joy in the fields and among his beloved polled Herefords. His passion for farming was evident in everything he did, including his long-standing pride in showing cattle. Beyond his work on the land, Brant was a respected forestry technician and a man whose quiet strength, kind heart, and genuine interest in others made him a pillar of our community.

Brant will be remembered as a humble, hardworking man whose life was deeply rooted in the values of family, friendship, honesty, and perseverance. He passed away on July 7, 2026, while doing the work he cherished most on the land he called home.

We extend our deepest condolences to his wife, Carolyn, his children, Courtney, Eli, and Jamie Lyn, his granddaughter, Letty, and the entire Jones family.
