The Lindsay Agricultural Society extends its deepest and most heartfelt condolences to the family of Gordon Watts and to the many friends, colleagues, and community members whose lives he touched.

Every year, we see firsthand how much excitement, wonder, and community pride a simple connection to agriculture can spark—whether it’s a child seeing their first farm animal up close at the LEX, a teenager discovering the science behind crop production, or a family learning where their food actually comes from.

The Lindsay Agricultural Society joins our community in mourning the loss of Brant Ellwood Jones, a lifelong farmer and a dedicated friend to the agricultural sector in Kawartha Lakes. A farmer through and through, Brant found his greatest joy in the fields and among his beloved polled Herefords.
