Want to get a bird's eye view of the LEX? Lindsay? The surrounding countryside? Then take a helicopter ride! Weather permitting helicopters will be landing and taking off from the north side of the ring road opposite the midway. $50/person.
Come on down to the Sheep and Goat barn on Saturday and Sunday from 10-4 to experience farm animals up close and personal. Bring your little ones, they will get a supervised interaction with several species of farm animals that are kid-sized. This isn't your typical "Petting Zoo" where the goats mug you and every animals you meet expects you to have forked out for feed. Your children will get to touch baby chicks and ducklings, baby-doll sheep and miniature goats along with many different breeds of chickens.
As well, under the same roof, we will have the bunny petting and the pony rides (pony rides will be outside on Thursday and Friday), also at no cost. So, rain or shine, you can bring your young'uns or your young'uns' young'uns (grand young'uns?) to the LEX and know that Memories are Made Here.

The Northern Spirit Big Band comprised of up to 20 musicians was formed in 2011 for the purpose of playing gospel music in a big band style. Very quickly it was realized that the band was capable of presenting other venues as well, including standards of the big band era, vocal and instrumental solos, popular ballads and selected classical music. We play many big band standards, such as Glenn Miller, Tommy Dorsey, and Artie Shaw. We are available for community special events, church special events, banquets, concerts, and weddings.

Never been able to figure out why one pretty cow places higher than another? Well, here's a real farm competition that you'll have no trouble figuring out. Steers are put in one pen with numbers from 1 to 6 on their backs. Two cowboys and cutting horses try to sort them, in order, in to the other pen in the ring. Each team starts from a random number and then goes in order. For example, if they draw the number "4". They have to sort 4,3,2,1,6,5. They have 90 seconds. One steer out of order is a DQ. Fastest time or most sorted wins.
Come down to the horse practise ring at 4:00 pm on Sunday.
