“We’re excited to be offering more live entertainment this year with the addition of a pre-fair concert” said Andy Letham, Manager of the Lindsay Agricultural Society. “In past years we’ve been able to bring great country acts to the Exhibition like Adam Gregory, Aaron Pritchett, Tanya Tucker and most recently The Higgins and The Road Hammers in 2008. This year we’re thrilled to have Doc Walker coming and it’s great to have The Trews this year for rock fans. A lot of people I have talked to are fans of both bands so I think we’re in for a great night of live entertainment.”

Canadian Country Trio Doc Walker, known for their trademark harmonies recently took home a Juno for Country Recording of the Year for their recording ‘Beautiful Life’. In 2008, the band cleaned up at the Canadian Country Music Awards, capturing six awards including best songwriter, song, video, group, album and fan’s choice.

The Trews have quickly gained a reputation as Canada’s hottest live band. They’ve spent the last couple of years on the road touring the country, performing in every city from St. John’s to Victoria. The Trews debut album; House of Ill Fame (2003) garnered the band 4 hit singles including ‘Tired of Waiting’ and the single ‘Not Ready to Go’ which went to #1 on the Canadian rock radio charts. The band released their second album Den of Thieves, in 2005 followed by their latest album, No Time for Later, in 2008. The band has received several award nominations including nods for Group of the Year and Rock Album of The Year (for No Time for Later) at the 2009 Juno Awards.
